The cruising grounds for our charters range from East Ferry within the spectacular natural harbour of Cork to Dingle in Kerry, famous for its fine food, lively company, stunning scenery and of course Fungi the resident dolphin, who makes regular visits to our yachts.
These cruising areas are truly some of the most beautiful in the world, with local and visiting yachts enjoying breathtaking sheer cliffs and headlands, inlets, beaches and estuaries. Combine this landscape with a liberal supply of welcoming, well equipped seaside towns with everything the cruising yachtsman could need amongst their brightly painted streets.
Marinas, Harbours and Anchorages
Hundreds of beautiful anchorages with visitors' moorings, plenty of town harbours and just enough marinas to keep the coast unspoiled.Tides and currents
Tidal range in the cruising area is 3.7m, with the strongest tide around the headlands and spring rates of about 2 knots.Weather
The sailing season is from April to October. Summer winds generally blow from the west and southwest (about 40 % of the time), with lots of variation in strength and direction - so you need to keep an eye on the weather forecasts. A typical 2 week cruise can be expected to include a day weather-bound, but don’t worry: you will never be too far from a warm Irish welcome in the pub!
