Marinas, Harbours & Anchorages

More than 90 islands and islets surround the main island of Langkawi,  situated on the North West of the Malaysian coast. It’s a unique paradise in South East of Asia, having a geological history over 500 millions years. Langkawi was declared GEOPARK by UNESCO in 2007. Tioman Sea Park Islands are located off south east coast of Malaysia.
Often classified among the ten most beautiful islands in the world. Facilities are limited on the outer islands. Mooring is generally at anchor in a sandy bay or alongside at a resort pontoon.

Sailing Conditions

Tidal range in both cruising areas is between 2m and 3m, and currents are generally weak. Winds tend to be light, between 5 and 20 knots. The drier season is between November and April.

Langkawi
From Telaga Harbour Marina. Aprrox 20 minutes from Langkawi Airport. Full facilities available. Take advantage of the duty-free status of Langkawi Island!

Tioman
Tekek Marina just 300m from the islands airport. Limited facilies available so advance provisioning certainly reccommended.

Getting there

For Langkawi fly to Kuala Lumpur with an onward connection to Langkawi, transfers can be arranged. Tioman is served by domestic flights from both Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, details can be provided on request.
