Marinas, Harbours & Anchorages

Facilities range from fully equipped marinas to quiet anchorages in uninhabited bays. The islands of Mustique, Bequia and Union are all within easy reach and well worth visiting.

Tides & currents

Tidal range is very small, and currents are generally weak.

Weather

Season: November to July. Trade winds from north east force 3-6 in winter, southeast 2-4 in summer. Sea temperature 26 – 29oC year round. Hurricane season August to October.

Charter Bases

True Blue Bay Resort, Grenada

The family-run True Blue Bay Resort and Marina is situated on the south-western tip of Grenada, just 10 minutes away from the Point Salines International Airport. This base offers access to the spectacular cruising grounds of The Grenadines. The Resort offers pool, well-appointed rooms, children’s activities, boutique, dive shop and undoubtedly the best restaurant in Grenada, offering a mix of Mexican/Caribbean cuisine.

Optional embarkation from St Vincent & Union Island

Subject to availability and a delivery fee, you can embark on St Vincent ($700 each way) or Union Island ($500 each way) and sail downwind to Grenada, stopping of in exotic locations such as Bequia, Mustique, Canouan and the Tobago Cays.

Direct scheduled flights with British Airways and Virgin from Gatwick. Weekly charter flights (Wednesdays) with Monarch from Gatwick at very competitive rates. From the US, new daily flights from Miami with American Airlines enable connections worldwide.
