Charter bases
British Virgin Islands - Tortola
The British Virgin Islands consist of approximately 50 islands and cays, the most populated of which are Tortola and Virgin Gorda. Dream Yacht Charters’ base is located at Maya Cove on Tortola, a few miles west of Road Town, the capital of the BVI. Tortola is easily accessible from the USA, UK and Europe via Puerto Rico, Antigua or St Thomas in the nearby US Virgin Islands (just a short, scenic ferry ride away).Flight time from UK: about 9 hours.
The most direct option is to take a flight to Grenada then a LIAT island hopper flight across to Beef Island (Tortola's airport). From there it is a 10 minute taxi jouney to Maya Cove. Both BA & Virgin have regular flights from Gatwick to Antigua, from the US American Airlines have through fares from the UK (usually via New York or Miami and then onward to San Juan and Beef Island).
